Tip #1 Karaoke Night should be Karaoke Night.
* Karaoke Singers want to sing as many times as they can on Karaoke Night.
* So Playing Dance Music makes them feel like they lost a spot to Sing, because Dance Music is played every night, but Karaoke is only one night a week.
* Playing one Dance Song after every full round of singers or after every 6 singer, seems to be acceptable to most Karaoke Singers.
Tip #2 Karaoke Singers appear to be Deaf, Saying I can't hear myself.
* Set Speakers Pointing at the Singer, if the speakers are far enough away to avoid feedback, otherwise use a monitor.
* Set Microphone gain higher than the Music gain, with your Mains close to unity.
Tip #3 If you want more Singers, setup a second Karaoke Monitor facing the Audience.
* It promotes Audience Participation which helps some singers keep up with the lyrics, or they'll rock the song with the audience.
* The Audience don't realize it, but now they're practicing following the words on the monitor & building confidence they can do it.
* Plus they are learning new songs, they may be able to do.
Tip #4 The Audience is usually a Family member or Friends of the Singer.
* They are usually the people that convince the singer to try it, but they will want to take a picture.
* Setup your System & the Singers Monitor in a way, to keep the Singer open to the audience, so that their not blocked by equipment.
This way the Singer will look more like they are performing the Song, and others will get good pictures.
